Remembrance Day 2017
The popularity of the 17th Pals’ Battalion Band has led to a busy schedule of events, which as you would expect includes assisting and taking part in commemorations around the time of Remembrance Sunday.
In 2017, and for the first time, the buglers were invited to take part in two separate ceremonies at the same time on the Saturday prior to Remembrance Sunday. Fortunately, the buglers were able to split into two teams with each doing the 17th Pals’ proud.
Chingford
Two buglers assisted The Royal British Legion at the Chingford Memorial.
Highams Park
To commemorate those who worked at the Xylonite Factory, which was to become Halex. A memorial service took place at Highams Park Library. The band supplied four buglers for this event.
